**About the position**

Council’s Community Relations team is looking for a full-time Communications Officer responsible for developing and delivering engaging, timely and impactful communications across digital and traditional channels for Frankston City Council.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Creating communication plans and strategies for external and internal projects.
- Providing communications support for projects and services, as well as engagement and advocacy programs
- Content development and speechwriting
- Working with local and metropolitan media

**About you**

The right person for the role will have:

- Excellent writing and editing skills.
- Proven organisational skills, including ability to meet deadlines while working in a dynamic environment
- Experience in delivering impactful communications plans and strategies
- Experience working in complex stakeholder environments
- Experience in managing media issues and opportunities
- Experience in working in a local or state government organisation.

This position is a Band 6A currently remunerated at $98,130.72 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
