In representing Peninsula Health, we expect all employees and volunteers to reflect our values: **Be the Best, Be a Role Model, Be Open and Honest, Be Compassionate and Respectful and Be Collaborative.** We are One Peninsula Health. **About the Role** Reporting to the Project Manager, the primary purpose of the Project Officer is to provide crucial support in the implementation of various capital projects within Peninsula Health, including the Frankston Hospital Redevelopment. The Project Officer will play a key role in project administration, budgeting, and coordination, ensuring the smooth execution of projects and the achievement of desired outcomes. To be successful in this role you will need outstanding communication written and verbal communication skills including the ability to form and maintain collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders including government, staff and contractors. **What You Will Be Doing** As the Project Officer with the Redevelopment team, your responsibilities include: - Coordinating minor capital works, projects, and refurbishments: You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are effectively coordinated and delivered within the defined timelines, meeting the required quality standards, and staying within the allocated budget. - Raising work requests: You will utilize the BEIMS system to generate work requests that support project activities or facilitate equipment movements as necessary. - Placing and monitoring purchase orders: Using the Oracle system, you will be responsible for initiating and tracking purchase orders for equipment required for projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications. - Managing project costs: You will play a vital role in arranging timely payment and monitoring project costs, ensuring compliance with financial delegations and the defined scope of works. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date internal cost reports and promptly identifying and escalating any risks that may impact project budgets. - Coordinating the "free equipment and stationery" program: You will actively coordinate and promote the program aimed at reallocating items removed during refurbishment works, ensuring that they are efficiently repurposed within the organisation. - Providing support to the Project Delivery team: You will assist the Project Delivery team in resolving any project-related issues that may arise, offering your expertise and support to ensure smooth project execution. **What You Need** We anticipate you will have: - Project delivery experience in a project support role - An understanding of project management principles and processes - Ability to consult, liaise with key stakeholders - A high level of financial and computer literacy - Strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities - Maintain attention to detail in all aspects of your work. - Ability to form relationships with people, by quickly and easily establishing rapport - Ability to maximise your time, achieve deadlines and prioritise tasks. **What Next** If you experience any issues signing in or registering, please feel welcome to contact us - the People, Experience & Performance Team on (03) 9784 2700. **Additional Requirements** This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy. **Join Peninsula Health and help us to deliver safe, personal, effective & connected care to every person, every time. **Selection Criteria
