**The Role**
Are you a high performing, experienced Systems Engineer? Do you want to be a key contributor to our Defence Aerospace Capability? If so, you may well be suited to our role as Reprogramming Systems Engineer within our Aerospace Branch in Adelaide. In this role you will be supporting Project AIR6000 Phase 2A/B delivering the fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II, through the acquisition and introduction into service of vital reprogramming capability. You will assist the project through supervision of project team engineering and acceptance activities, whilst allocating and monitoring tasks to ensure achievement of project outcomes.

This reprogramming capability project will give you the opportunity to showcase your skills through your understanding of software development and product acceptance principles, particularly in respect to AGILE software development and verification/validation processes. This position gives you the opportunity to consult closely with project contractors both in Australia and overseas via participation in daily and virtual meetings.

This role requires occasional domestic travel. Other responsibilities include:

- Supporting programmatic governance and stakeholder management activities through the management of schedule.
- Managing budget and risk.
- Requirements and statement of work development.
- Report and business writing.
- Conducting engineering and technical reviews and contract management.

You will be a key member of the team, and have the opportunity to grow and develop in this role. You will be encouraged and supported to participate in training opportunities particularly in the AGILE methodology and Reprogramming activities.

**About our Team**
When you join the AIR6000 Phase 2A/B team you will have the opportunity to be involved in the acquisition of the multi-billion dollar, fifth-generation F-35 Lightning II weapon system. Being part of the AIR6000 Phase 2A/B team within Aerospace Combat Systems Branch, gives you the opportunity to be responsible for assisting in the delivery of key technologies and enhanced Electronic Warfare reprogramming capabilities, which are critical for ensuring the F-35 aircraft maintains its formidable performance in terms of lethality and survivability.
