The Western Sydney Startup Hub is looking for a casual Space and Events Host. The Space and Events Host is the go-to person for the community and will be in charge of opening and closing the space when required, managing the host desk, maintaining the space throughout the day, as well as office duties such as directing enquiries, keeping the space organised and working with the WSSH General manager and Events and Operations Coordinator.

The position also involves assisting in the setting up and running of events in our spaces. You will strive to provide an exceptional customer experience to the attendees and to ensure the quiet enjoyment of the residents while delivering excellent event service. The success of our company is primarily based on our people and their commitment to outstanding customer service.

This position requires flexibility as events might require out-of-hours events, initiative to help us create a vibrant and flourishing startup community at the newly restored WSSH, top-notch customer experiences by learning the ins and outs of our community and providing a warm welcome at our host desks and at events.

**Responsibilities**
- Set up and clean up of events and meeting room space, including moving furniture, set up/coordinating catering and seating and tables, etc. (including clearing and cleaning crockery, cutlery and glassware during events).
- Welcome and registration of guests.
- Liaise with the organisers and the WSSH Event Coordinator to ensure the events run smoothly (set up of AV equipment, space, catering etc.).
- Reset space ready for next day.
- Greeting and directing visitors.
- Directing enquiries and troubleshooting member issues.
- Opening and closing spaces when required.
- Assist guests and members with meeting room bookings and setups
- Walkthroughs of the spaces to maintain the presentation of kitchens, meeting rooms and break out areas.

- Excellent relationship-building skills.
- Process and detailed oriented.
- Flexibility with ad hoc and after-hours working hours (most events typically run from 5pm onwards and/or early set up such as 8am).
- Hospitality and previous events experience preferred but not essential.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $24.87 per hour
