Alice's Creative Space, an established and vibrant Art Studio located in the heart of Carlton North, is seeking a passionate and skilled Art Instructor to join our team. This position specifically focuses on leading our popular Paint and Sip classes, where participants explore their creativity while enjoying a relaxed and social atmosphere. **Responsibilities**:

- Conduct engaging and interactive Paint and Sip classes for individuals and groups of various skill levels, primarily working with acrylic on canvas.
- Create a positive and supportive environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and self-expression.
- Develop and design art projects suitable for participants of different ages and abilities.
- Demonstrate and teach various painting techniques, including color mixing, brushwork, and composition.
- Provide step-by-step guidance and individualised instruction to ensure participants' understanding and progress throughout the class.
- Foster a fun and social atmosphere by encouraging participants to interact, share ideas, and engage in group discussions.
- Offer constructive feedback, encouragement, and inspiration to help participants develop their artistic skills.
- Set up and clean the studio space before and after each class, ensuring art supplies and materials are organised and readily available.
- Keep up to date with current trends and techniques in acrylic painting and art instruction, incorporating new ideas into class offerings.
- Assist with occasional studio events and exhibitions as required.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as an art instructor, preferably with expertise in acrylic painting on canvas.
- Strong artistic abilities with a deep understanding of painting techniques and concepts.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with participants and create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to convey instructions clearly and demonstrate techniques.
- Patience and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of participants, tailoring instruction accordingly.
- Organisational skills to manage class materials, set up the studio, and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Passion for art and a desire to inspire and motivate others to explore their creative potential.
- Knowledge of art history and various art styles to provide context and inspiration during classes.
- Flexibility in scheduling, as classes may be held during weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
