**Requirements of the Role**:

- Consult with the managers in the business to analyse current operational procedures, identify problems and opportunities for improvement and learn specific input and output requirements.
- Provide on-going support and advice to users of the systems to ensure the systems continue to support existing and changed business practices.
- Contribute to the strategic planning process, advising on operational challenges and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on costs and estimated outcomes for all areas of associated systems including reasons for variance.
- Ensure that the JD Edwards ERP system complies to external audit requirements, licencing and statutory requirements.
- Support the Group Technology Officer to ensure that allocated projects and tasks are delivered on time and within budget to support the business.
- Actively identify productivity improvement and saving opportunities for the customer and Bis.
- Build and maintain a close rapport with customers, suppliers, industry associations, government, or other stakeholders to promote and position the company.
- Have a thorough understanding of customer contracts to ensure obligated services are fulfilled on time and on budget within the ERP systems.

**To succeed in this role, you must**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years in IT or similar role.
- Experience in JDEdwards implementation and support.
- Experience in Accounting/Finance
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, users and customers.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage fluctuating workloads.

**Who is Bis?**

Bis own the largest fleet of Underground Hire Equipment in the Coal Mining Industry. We provide casual and long-term hire of run of mine equipment including Load Haul Dump (LHD) Machines, Graders, and Personnel Transporters. Bis also provide casual and long-term hire of Longwall Move Equipment including Mules, Heavy Lift Load Haul Dump Machines, Pan Pickers and Dozers, ensuring greater security and flexibility while preserving valuable capital for our clients.

Our Diesel and Electrical Services Division offer complete equipment overhauls, scheduled servicing and machine repairs using the workshop base, and field service crews equipped to operate autonomously at the site of the customer.
