**About the position**

Council’s City Works Department is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join the Drainage Department who will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing council’s infrastructures and assets, throughout Frankston municipality in accordance with works and management programs.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Perform all civil infrastructure maintenance tasks and repairs in accordance with works programs and management systems. Works will include, storm water maintenance pit, concrete and minor civil repairs across roads and drainage areas;
- Easement Inspections works including locating pits rear of property, entering data, digging and probing to locate pits; and
- Cleaning activities across all of Civil Infrastructure maintenance works within set specifications. This will also include sweeping and brush cutting.

This is a Permanent Full-Time role.

**About you**
- Construction or trades related industry experience, with knowledge and skills in Drainage and roads maintenance;
- Ability to prioritise and plan own work, with independent thinking & problem solving skills and the ability to work individually or as part of a team;
- Current Drivers Licence; and
- Experience in the use of a variety of tools, plant and mechanical equipment relating to civil maintenance.

This position is a Band 2 currently remunerated at $65,336.84 per annum, plus superannuation. Overtime will also be paid as required.
