Ofload is one of Australia’s Top 50 start-ups, backed by notable industry and VC investors, including Maersk, Flexport, Lineage, King River.

The Australian freight industry is highly fragmented with 58k+ carriers, of which 80% own less than 10 trucks, resulting in the longtail being underused. Our vision is to achieve zero waste in trucking by empowering the long tail of small-medium carriers through technology.

Ofload has just acquired Melbourne freight specialist CIA Logistics and our family is now 120+ strong We are growing at 6x per annum, with plans to continue to scale significantly over the next six months and beyond.

**About the opportunity**

We are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to work with our Operations team. You would be the primary point of contact for our shippers and carriers - ensuring that we fulfil all our shipments, managing bookings, helping to find and match our carriers with loads, and updating and managing our systems. This is an afternoon shift 1pm-9pm.

**Responsibilities**
- Call carriers to find capacity and book shipments
- Allocate all incoming shipments to carriers
- Update our internal systems for upcoming bookings
- Manage any issues in the freight shipments
- Work closely with our Operations and Business Development teams to help with any new inbound shipment opportunities
- Support with customer service enquiries

**Requirements**:

- Previous transport allocation experience in the logistics industry is required
- A wide network of interstate line-haul carriers around Australia would be very advantageous
- Comfortable working with computer systems (we will teach you how to use ours, just a certain level of comfort with computers)
- Comfortable talking with customers on the phone
- Comfortable managing lots of bookings
- Ability to work proactively and solve problems
