Wood is currently recruiting for a Proposals Manager on a full-time permanent position based in either our Melbourne, Brisbane or Perth office. The Proposals Manager leads the development of winning proposals for small to medium size contracts and projects whilst working with the Regional Proposals Manager who leads the development of winning proposals for major contracts and projects.

Our business development and business acquisition teams are de-centralised in Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane providing sales, bid and proposal management services to all our Australian and Asia Pacific operations and form part of the greater global sales network. You will work across our Operations business in the Maintenance, Asset Management, Modifications & Brownfield Engineering sectors. You will also collaborate with Wood’s Consulting and Projects businesses to deliver seamless lifecycle solutions.
- Manage the pre-bid activities (Business Development presentations, Prequalification’s & Expression of Interests)
- Manage the development of winning proposals for qualified opportunities, including defining and agreeing bid deliverables, assigning responsibilities and bid timelines with functional leadership
- Participate in the development of the win strategy and themes for new business proposals
- Manage and lead the process to ensure strategy alignment and client requirements are met
- Write and edit proposals as required
- Coach writers on correct structure and content for written submissions
- Identify and mitigate risk and opportunities for new business proposals and the subsequent contract execution
- Identify graphics requirements and opportunities and coordinate their development
- Coordinate the tender review process pre-bid submission
- Coordinate the clarification, award and handover to operations process
- Support and contribute to the continual improvement of proposal procedures and processes
- Ensure incorporation of proposal best practices into all customer responses.
- Ensure customers’ requirements are fully met. This involves conducting searches for appropriate materials and writing and editing project summaries, resumes of project personnel, and other supporting sections of the proposal, as necessary. Leverages existing archived proposal information
- Comply with Wood Code of Business Conduct, Anti Bribery and Corruption undertakings and the Wood mandatory and fundamental procedures
- Relevant Degree
- Extensive bid management experience
- Oil & Gas and/or Infrastructure experience required
- Project Management
- Writing & Editing
