The Role
Our Independents team is seeking an experienced National Business Manager to join the team in Docklands, Victoria. You will manage the chilled warehouse relationship with Metcash, across the yoghurt, chilled juice and culinary categories.
As a Senior member of our independent team, you will be fully accountable for the end-to-end P&L for chilled Metcash and be able to demonstrate experience in managing a large P&L in previous roles.
You will be a National Business Manager that understands the importance of building partnerships to deliver mutually profitable and sustainable growth. You will have the know
- how to develop long term joint business plans considering total chilled opportunities within the supermarket. Strong leadership skills are essential, you will lead key sales initiatives, negotiate principles and foster internal and external collaboration.
**Responsibilities**:
- Build & maintain relationship with relevant decision makers and influencers to enable effective two-way flow of information and resolution of issues- Participate in formulating JBPs, and execute the wider chilled independent grocery channel strategy- Communicate actions needed to implement the business strategy and business plan within the total independent grocery team, inclusive of State Key Account Managers and field operations- Coach, develop & motivate team members, to deliver sustainable sales growth and deliver on budgeted expectations- Focus on creating and championing a culture of safety within the team
About you- Significant sales and account management experience at a national level demonstrating high performance within the grocery environment- Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and solution focused- Strategic, creative thinking and strategy development- Analytical and critically evaluates data to form meaningful recommendations and plans- Exceptional communication, presenting and influencing skills- Detail, process oriented and systems savvy- Takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
