About the Role:
Collaborate with regional and school teams to align and achieve strategic outcomes under Equity and Excellence.
Build capability across the state in the use of evidence-based strategies to increase student engagement at school.
Provide project planning and support to assist with the development and implementation of department strategic initiatives within Student Support, Behaviour.
Provide high level strategic advice to senior officers of the department and other key stakeholders on issues relevant to the specific accountabilities of the role.

Responsibilities Include:
The Principal Advisor, Intensive Support (Curriculum) has responsibility for the following:
Collaborate with regional experts and school staff to design high quality curriculum supports for students.
Identify the needs of regional and school staff and provide evidence-based training, coaching and resources to ensure best practice in service delivery.
Lead and conduct specialised projects and innovative research activities, relating to the delivery and continuous improvement of services within schools.
Design and implement evaluation and monitoring processes which measure the impact of strategic initiatives to inform current and future agendas.
Foster a challenging, equitable, ethical and safe work environment that encourages, professional growth and continuous improvement.
As this vacancy involves regular school and regional office visits to deliver face to face services, it is a requirement to possess a current driver's licence.

Highly desirable skills and experience:
Experience working in schools as a head of curriculum, head of inclusion, behaviour analyst, behaviour support practitioner or behaviour therapist.

The Principal Advisor reports to Director, Student Behaviour, State Schools Strategy.
