An excellent opportunity has become available with one of our clients for a
**Quality Officer** to join their growing food manufacturing operation based in Homebush NSW.

Our client is an Australian owned and operated company entering a critical growth phase and is committed to expanding its innovative range, its distribution and its markets to become a global brand.

As the Quality Officer, you will work on site at their dairy milk processing facility in Sydney and be responsible for doing the milk testing and monitoring the quality control systems and procedures across the facility. You will assist the Quality Manager with the evaluation of internal production processes, examining products to determine their quality, conduct regular micro-biological testing and provide assistance in the development of new products.

Ideally needs to start from the 19th of September.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Conduct daily tests on milk for milk quality (bacteria and pathogen counts)
- Maintain and monitor the quality control systems and procedures on site
- Assist the Quality Manager with site audits, HACCAP certification and food safety plans
- Manage the microbiological testing of dairy milk, conducting in-house tests and facilitating external laboratory testing
- Conduct shelf life and stability testing and analysis on existing and new products
- Provide assistance in the development of new products, including testing and analysis
- Assist the Quality Manager with the design and maintenance of product specifications
- Provide assistance in the analysis of customer complaints and feedback
- Provide regular reporting on quality standards

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- HACCP & Food Safety Certificate
- Food processing and food safety industry experience required
- Excellent attention to detail
- Data analysis and statistical aptitude
- Highly diligent and conscientious
- Good interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Driven, authentic, innovative and responsible
