**Your new role**
As the Project Scheduler Specialist you will be responsible for the preparation and management of the project schedule. You will manage a comprehensive schedule control system, including day-to-day planning activities and advanced planning, scheduling, progress measurement, change management implementation and analysis for a large government infrastructure.

Duties will include:

- Implement Project Planning and Scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) in collaboration with Project lead and key project stakeholders.
- Promote and maintain the overall integration and integrity of contractor and project lead schedules within the Program suite of project schedules.
- Provide interface and quality assurance to project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
- Support the project team in the implementation of the master schedule program.
- Preparing execution progress reports and customised reports.
- Other program support duties as required.
- Other accountabilities and tasks as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**

The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, finance or engineering as well as demonstrated experience in project controls and time/schedule management. You will need to be experienced using project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI as well as general software such as MS Office Suite and MS Visio.

You will have an understanding of project performance indicators (EVM, Success Probability Trends, Schedule KPI etc.) and skills relating to the preparation of project performance reports through the consideration of earned value, planned budget, actuals and accruals.
