**Description**:
The role

As an Employment Consultant your focus will be on providing ongoing support to customers within the Disability Employment Services (DES) program find and maintain sustainable employment opportunities.

With a caseload of job seekers ready for support, you will be building and maintaining relationships with customers and assisting them address their barriers to employment using a customer focus approach

Our Preston office is fitted with large open windows providing a bright and spacious workspace. Located next to cafes and within walking distance of the Preston Market with the option of on street parking available. You will be working autonomously within an experienced team ready to welcome and support a new member.

You will support a diverse cohort of customers, majority living with a Mental or Physical Disability ranging in complexity. Previous/lived experience or qualifications within Community Services, Disability or Mental Health would be highly desirable/favourable and help you succeed in this role.

**Skills and Experiences**:
What do you need to thrive and succeed within this role?

The desire and aptitude to work with and provide support to people living with a mental or physical disability
Ability to identify and address customers complex barriers to employment and health management by using our internal support or researching and referring to external community networks
Proven ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with customers, employers, internal and external stakeholders both face to face and over the phone
Capacity to assess the local labour market and find suitable, sustainable employment outcomes for our customers

**We’re looking for someone who**:
Possessed strong organisational and time management abilities to manage competing priorities within a KPI and compliance driven environment
Is passionate about achieving the best outcome for our customers and can ‘think outside the box’ when it comes to advocating and supporting our customers
Is highly motivated and enthusiastic about making a real change in people’s lives
Possesses excellent communication and administrative skills
Can successfully obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check
