Enterprise Data Product Owner

We’re seeking a self-starter, have leadership skills, agile mindset, great understanding on data governance and data platforms of the future, identifying opportunities and knowledge on the data engineer process.

This role will give you an opportunity to drive futures changes in the data space at Allianz. You’ll be managing a team of 4 and reporting to the General Manager Data Office.

**Your responsibilities include**:

- Be responsible for the full life cycle of data initiatives from inception through to development, and support, for work produced by data delivery squad.
- Engaging and collaborate with Allianz Technology and business stakeholders across divisions to understand data related requirements and oversee the design and implementation of data products to meet enterprise, divisional and business project specific needs.
- Driving outcomes on behalf of the business, by acting as an internal business consultant in order to improve business outcomes and assist in making judgements and managing the implementation process through to completion.
- Translating business use cases into data product deliverables in partnership with process owner, data stewards, data architects and data engineers.
- Supporting the delivery of data products through ensuring that AAL data assets are maintained including data models, data mappings, standards and frameworks. Also act as SME on the data products.
- Identifying and analyse emerging trends in data related technology and provide inputs and consultation for relative data domain data owners.
- Supporting data citizens transitioning to new data platforms, from on premise to the cloud by identifying knowledge gaps, training to bridge the gaps and detail roadmaps for transition.
- Identifying opportunities for divisional data usage process simplification to deliver of efficiencies and optimisation across reporting and analytics divisional teams.
- Supporting the ongoing implementation of data governance and data management

frameworks and lead the business uptake of new frameworks including Customer MDM.
- Training and support the broader data community on the effective use of our data platforms and data assets.
- Providing input into yearly data strategic dialog and planning.

**Critical to your success**:

- Significant experience in leading the delivery of data products for Technical, Finance and other data domains within Insurance Industry, across complex hierarchical organisations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of event driven workflows, data architecture for performance and cost efficiencies.
- Experience in working with data engineers and acting as a data SME of data technology professionals.
- Knowledge of Industry trends and data products design standards and best practices in data technology, data platform including but not limited to artificial intelligence, data process automation and big data.
- Experience with industry leading data management tools including Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Master/Reference Data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact and influence.
- Demonstrated evidence of being self-motivated, results orientated and driven to improve business processes.
