Data Product Owner

  • Greater Sydney Area (Hybrid)
  • Long-term contract (initial 12-months) available for a Data Product Owner/Delivery Manager.
  • Australian Citizenship is required for this role.

Our client is a leading insurance business that relies heavily on data to inform policy and operational decisions. As a Data Product Owner/Delivery Manager, you will manage key data products and BI platforms, and drive ad-hoc data projects which may include data sharing, system migration or fraud-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Define and lead the vision for key data products, aligning with overall business objectives and data strategy.
  • Manage the lifecycle of BI platforms, from inception through to delivery, ensuring they meet user needs and compliance standards.
  • Scope out and lead Data projects across a range of areas (data sharing, system migration, fraud)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced analytics capabilities, such as fraud analytics, enhancing the value of data insights.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership in SQL and other data analysis tools to ensure robust and scalable data solutions.

About you:

  • Strong experience as a Data Product Owner/Delivery Manager managing data products or BI platforms, with a track record of delivering user-centric data solutions.
  • Beneficial to have BI/Data Analyst or Data Business Analyst experience, with a strong command of SQL and data management practices.
  • Experience in fraud analytics highly beneficial
  • Strong analytical skills, coupled with the ability to lead projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders across all levels.

Mid-range salary banding: $950 - $1,050/day incl super, potential to stretch beyond this depending on experience.
