The Role

This role will focus specifically on ensuring the migration team provides smooth and successful data migrations for law firms transitioning to our software platforms. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of data migration projects, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring seamless data transfers while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

What you’ll do
- Provide outstanding service in all aspects of what you do (including clients and internal teams).
- Manage a small team of data specialists and all data migration resources.
- Manage, monitor, evaluate and continuously improve data migration processes and methodologies.
- Collaborating with Engineers, you’ll assist with the creation of new data migrations from competitor systems and execute data extraction tools to effect data transformation.
- Improving testing procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency of migrated data and creating documentation and guides for future migration projects.
- Analysing financial data and ledgers to validate migrated accounting data. You’ll present and reconcile these results to the client.
- You’ll work predominantly in AEST business hours. However, as a global company there is often out of business hours work required. You’re free to manage your own time and work from home 3 days per week.

We’re looking for a full time Data Migration Manager who may have data experience from within an accounting or financial background. You enjoy developing people in your team as much as you enjoy leading the change in creating efficient and accurate data migration processes. You’ve got a knack for dealing with ambiguity and you’re great at innovative problem solving.

Required
- 5+ years professional experience with data migration projects
- Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and ETL processes.
- SQL, preference MS SQL.
- Advanced Excel.

Desired
- Prior leadership experience.
- Experience with accounting or bookkeeping fundamentals
- Formal Project Methodology qualifications (PMP, Prince II etc).
