**What you’ll be doing**:
The ‘Head of Strategy - Velocity’ is responsible for defining, developing, driving and communicating progress against Velocity’s strategic initiatives, as well as, running an effective CEO Office. The Head of Strategy will lead a small direct team, but will have a wide span of influence that requires them to engage with key stakeholders within the Velocity business and the broader Virgin Australia Group to catalyse strategic change.

**You’ll be great in this role if you**:

- Have 7+ years’ experience with a top tier consulting firm and/or corporate strategy function (project lead, associate partner)
- Can deliver successful multiple end-to-end strategy projects (setting a vision, defining a strategic plan, developing a business case and mobilising delivery) with a track record of accomplishment
- Prepared senior executive (C-suite) papers / presentations to enable decision-making
- Have lead direct reports, a small team and external partners to deliver an outcome
- Can provide validated concepts through desirability, viability, and feasibility testing
- Have proven ability to build strong relationships in a complex environment and deliver change
- Can drive change or be an agent for change to deliver tangible, measurable business outcomes
- Have the ability to understand, analyse and synthesise market and competitive trends
- Can build analytical models to support business cases (e.g. discounted cash flow analysis)
- Come with strong project management disciplines and analytical skills
- Are comfortable with juggling a portfolio of initiatives and making judgment calls during periods of uncertainty or changing priorities
- Principles based problem solving
