**Head of Learning Strategies**

Melbourne Grammar School is seeking a highly skilled Head of Learning Strategies to co-ordinate Learning Strategies in our Junior School.

The Head of Learning Strategies at Grimwade House is primarily responsible for providing overall direction and support for our Teachers of Learning Strategies. This is a full time ongoing opportunity with a flexible start date.

**You will**
- To oversee the processes used for the identification and management of students with special needs.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of whole school policies and procedures in the area of Learning Strategies.
- Support practices of communication of Learning Strategies information to classroom teachers, pastoral staff and counsellors.
- Actively participate in leadership in regular meetings of Heads of Learning Strategies from each campus to discuss common strategic and operational issues
- Support and manage Learning Strategies Teachers to plan, deliver and monitor individual learning plans for identified students
- Administer appropriate assessments to determine the needs for intervention, adjustments, modifications and to monitor progress of student learning
- VIT registration, or the ability to gain VIT registration, is essential._
