Our client is a leading provider of financial services and is undertaking a rapid and exciting transformation journey. They provide a professional, stimulating and friendly work environment and their dynamic team promotes a focused and collaborative culture. As part of this transformation, they are in an exciting phase of further developing their governance framework and they are seeking a specialist to support the Company Secretariat team as a Committee Secretary.

Reporting to the Head of Trustee Governance and Company Secretary, you will be responsible for providing high quality company secretariat and corporate governance support in the Company Secretariat team. Specifically, you will act autonomously as the Company Secretary for various Trustee Committees and will provide support to the Chair of those Committees. In this critical supporting role, you will provide, oversee, and support the delivery of all Trustee governance services in relation to all statutory obligations of the Trustee and its Directors under the Corporations Act and other relevant legislation.

You will be an experienced Deputy or Assistant Company Secretary with at least five years’ relevant experience ideally gained within superannuation or financial services industries and you will have tertiary or post graduate qualifications in business, commerce, or law. With highly developed verbal and written communication skills, you will have a proven track record in reviewing, preparing and disseminating Board and Committee materials and minute taking. You will also have a strong understanding of the Corporations Act as it relates to the company secretarial function and will have or are working toward Corporate Governance qualifications. Mature and thoughtful in outlook, you will bring an inquisitive mind to the role and highly developed organisational skills. This is a unique opportunity to step up and enable a clear path toward a Company Secretary role.
