Billing and Recoveries Officer

**The role**:
The Billing and Recoveries Officer assists, contributes, supports and provides effective client-focussed financial services for the Clinical Program fee-for-service teams.
**In addition to this, you will**:
- Provide effective business administrative support in relation to the financial cost recoveries for the Clinical Program fee-for-service business, including: - Preparing journal transfers to affect the cost recoveries;
- Establish and maintaining customer records; and
- Preparing of Memorandum of Fees.
- Prepare fortnightly financial analysis and end of month reports for the cost recovery of services through the use of Project Online, DSS, Sharepoint and MYOB, including interpreting and analysing data, performance and analytics.
- Provide quality advice to management and stakeholders on policy, processes, procedures and emergent issues relating to financial administration, local human resource activities and business procedures;
- Coordinate the billing and cost recovery activities of the business unit, verifying the accuracy of data and providing advice to management on cost recovery activities, issue escalation, data analysis and reporting.
- Establish and maintain continuous and measurable business processes and service delivery improvements in relation to cost recovery activities, processes and support activities.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Proven experience, skills and knowledge of MS Project, MYOB, SAP, Financial Support Systems and accounting processes and the ability to extract, collate and interpret information.
- Sound knowledge and an understanding of the Clinical Program fee-for-service business model and the criticality of this role to ensure the success of the business from a billing and recoveries perspective.
- High-level skills and competencies in the delivery of effective and efficient quality administrative support services across multiple systems in recording, tracking and maintaining customer, quote and budgetary information on each engagement undertaken by the Clinical Program Resource Teams.
- Highly developed interpersonal, consultation and other communication skills, particularly tact, discretion, sensitivity, confidentiality and an ability to communicate and work with senior management and staff alike.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve problems and work autonomously to achieve organisational goals.
