Our client is the venue management company responsible for managing “one of, Sydney’s iconic entertainment, cultural and live music venue. The organisation is focussed on delivering exceptional customer experiences through a diverse and evolving range of events.
**Role Purpose**:
The Technical Services & Facilities Manager is solely responsible for management of business projects and services designed to advance the venues technological and building capabilities.
**Direct Reports**:Technical services coordinator, Maintenance Manager, Casual venue service employees
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead Workplace Health & Safety for all venues
- Develop a good understanding of the hiring clients' businesses
- Manage and direct all venue services during events to maintain a customer first approach to all venue patrons
- Manage customer / supplier incidents quickly and efficiently
- Management of full time and casual staff and the efficient management of the costs associated with these services
- Lead technology improvement projects for the business
- Develop venue processes and procedures
- Encourage and facilitate cooperation and teamwork across the group
- Identify new technologies to enhance our event management solutions
**Skills and Experience**:
- Minimum 3 years event service provider management experience
- Excellent customer / client management skills
- Minimum 2 years facility service provider supervision experience
- Experience managing Workplace Health and Safety at public facilities
- Minimum 2 years experience implementing technology solutions into business area
- Proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, industry, government and private sector contacts, contractors and professionals
- Experienced with staff rostering and software management platforms
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification (RSA) (Able to obtain upon employment)
- Working with Children’s Check (may be required during employment)
- Fork Lift License (Able to obtain upon employment)
**Desirable skills**
- Experience with event management software and/or booking software such as Priava desirable
- Knowledge of entertainment and live music industry
