**About the Opportunity**
We have an exciting leadership opportunity to join Metcash as our new National Facilities Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of facility management services, repairs & maintenance on our leasehold & freehold property portfolio.

**In this Role**
- Subject Matter Expert for Facilities Management (FM) across the Metcash portfolio, ensuring our lease and legal obligations are fulfilled from an FM perspective;
- Lead, manage and develop the Facilities Manager (direct report)
- Manage R&M issues efficiently to minimize any disruption to trade in a sustainable and cost effective way;
- Implementation of our new FM Platform in conjunction with the project manager
- Working alongside Treasury and Sustainability to deliver favourable outcomes and targets
- Oversee various build projects across the business
- Oversee the creation of Preventative Maintenance Plans for each asset within the portfolio;
- Complete pre-purchase asset inspections and provide recommendations;
- Complete pre-disposal makegood assessments and negotiate settlements with landlords
- This role will also require significant domestic travel

**You’re Likely a Match If**
- Extensive experience in a facilities or SME in Essential Services;
- Degree level qualification is advantageous
- High level problem solving ability, proactive approach and strategic mindset
- Ability to multi task and run numerous job/projects at the same time
- Strong technical knowledge / background, specifically experience with hard services
- Strong Analytical and reporting skills
- Experience in managing contractors (hiring, terminating, compensation, and performance evaluation)
- Experience in implementing standardized maintenance programs at local/regional and national levels.
