The Victorian Government established the Labour Hire Licensing Authority (LHA) to introduce a licensing system to regulate the provision of labour hire services across Victoria. The LHA undertakes a range of licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintains public registers and conducts research and education in accordance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) (Act).
About the role
This is an opportunity to join the LHA's Regulatory Operations Division and be part of the Legal Branch dedicated to improving the labour hire industry, through supporting the delivery of all the LHA's functions. As part of the Legal Branch, you will have a close working relationship with the Licensing and Compliance & Enforcement Branches.
The primary functions of the Legal Branch include coordinating litigation relating to licensing decisions and enforcement actions; drafting statutory notices and correspondence; briefing counsel and providing written and verbal advice on a broad range of legal and governance issues. In return, you will have a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a diverse legal practice.
The LHA has an exciting entry-level opportunity for a paralegal to work alongside our highly experienced lawyers, to deliver the following duties:

- legal research and analysis
- drafting correspondence, briefs to counsel and court documents
- contributing to the development and organisation of internal processes
- assisting with legal support and administrative duties as required.

This role has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.
