**The Senior Adviser Offender Intervention will:
Coordinate and manage the sexual, violence and substance abuse offending programs and assessment state-wide waitlist.
Participate in and contribute to case conferences for high intensity programs as part of the specialised assessment and program allocation process.
Provide advice in relation to specialised assessment throughput for sexual offenders in custody.
Maintain current knowledge regarding assessment and treatment of sexual, violent and substance abuse offenders.
Conduct mandatory program facilitating training.
Support ongoing development of best practice in offender program training.
Maintain own knowledge of trends in the facilitation of effective offender programs.
Conduct site monitoring of program delivery sites against national program delivery standards.
Monitor frameworks for the prioritisation of state-wide sexual offender assessment.
Coordinate quality assurance processes relating to specialised assessments for high risk sexual offenders.
Provide high level advice in relation to the administration and review of specialised assessments for sexual offenders.
Provide quarterly reports to senior management within QCS relating to quality performance.
Research and analyse sexual offender assessment practices and methods.
Provide advice and reports on identified risks in a timely manner.
Ensure own level of knowledge in relation to specialised assessments is contemporary.
Develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
Provide timely advice to key stakeholders relating to new developments in the area of assessment and treatment of sexual, violent and substance abuse offenders.
Ensure consistency with whole of Government approach to the management of sexual, violent and substance abuse offenders.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the Specialist Operations Directorate by implementing Specialist Operations Directorate strategies relating to the assessment and treatment of sexual, violent and substance abuse offenders.
Provide advice on emerging risks relating to the assessment and treatment of sexual, violent and substance abuse offenders.
Collaborate and partner with other key Directorates in order to achieve strategic outcomes.
Prepare significant reports and provide timely advice.
There are no mandatory qualifications for this position however a degree in psychology, education, social work or a related discipline would be highly regarded.
Possession of post graduate qualifications (or significant progress towards post graduate qualifications) in a relevant area would also be highly regarded.
Membership or affiliation with a relevant professional association will be highly regarded.
There are no mandatory requirements for this position.
