**In this role you will**:

- Ensure a comprehensive analysis of each case is prepared for in preparation for attendance and presentation at Community Protection Advisory Committee meetings, where advice regarding the highest risk prisoners and offenders in the State is discussed;
- Provide advice and support to authorised delegates responsible for decision making processes relating to sentence management through comprehensive research of each prisoner's case including the compilation of a case summary.
- Provide supportive work practices in that existing Serious Offenders Unit staff provide work shadowing and internal training of colleagues.
- Perform sentence management operational duties in accordance with legislation, policy, procedures and delegations to a high standard of proficiency.
- Producing work outcomes which contribute to the high performance of the Serious Offenders Unit which operates within a performance framework for Specialist Operations.
- Prepare detailed ministerial and executive briefing papers, stakeholder and prisoner correspondence and sentence management reports within set timeframes ensuring accurate and fit for purpose information is used.
- Maintain a quality framework for sentence management services that ensure process integrity and the maintenance of quality standards.
- Advise on issues relating to the management of prisoners in the context of the sentence management process.
- Utilise systems for identifying and responding to emerging risk in relation to sentence management activities and processes for Sentence Management Services.
- Schedule prisoner panels in consultation with delegates and correctional centre sentence management staff.
- Accurately maintain prisoner panel schedules via consultation with the authorised delegate and relevant correctional centre sentence management services staff.
- This role is responsible for the preparation of an agenda for the meeting and for recording accurate meeting minutes
- Prepare agenda and minutes for Community Protection Advisory Committee meetings including following up outstanding actions.
- Prepare Enhanced Security Offender Briefs which contain a compilation of update to date information and advice on this prisoner and offender group.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and attend meetings where you will actively participate in case discussions and process discussions regarding sentence management practices.
- Promote the activities of the Branch and develop productive relationships with correctional centres, regional sentence management staff and management, and within the Custodial Operations and Specialist Operations commands.
