**Role Description**:
The Instructional Leader works with the diversity and wellbeing teams of the school and supports students and staff. They work in collaboration with teachers, Case Managers, Year Leaders of Learning, Leader of Wellbeing, Leader of Professional Learning and Diversity, families, counsellors and external psychologists.

**This position is a middle leadership teaching position attracting a 2 point pay and time allowance**

Role Requirements:

- support and assist the evangelising mission of Catholic education;
- experience working within student wellbeing
- work one-to-one and in small groups with teachers to promote positive classroom practice
- work with students with significant engagement issues, including complex non-attendance
- work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
- coordinate communication between teachers and parents
- collect and analyse student data
- liaise with case managers and Diversity Team
- work with the Assistant Principal to determine the students who will be supported by the Instructional Leader - Positive Behaviour
- demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with parents and education professionals.
- demonstrate a detailed understanding of evidence based instructional methods and education curriculums.
- demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
- know and understand state and federal laws and regulations associated with students with disabilities.
- experience working within a school wellbeing team will be an advantage

**Qualifications and accreditations**:

- Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)
- Statements of Service
