**Role Description**

- After school hours (weekdays 2:30-5:30pm) + school holiday sessions
- Particularly looking for availability on Mondays, but availability throughout the week is also desirable
- Some weekend opportunities

Looking for passionate educators who love working with young children (Kindergarten - Year 6) and are passionate in public speaking and debating. We're encouraging primary students to be creative problem solvers and we're creating a fun environment where they can learn future-ready skills.

As a mentor, you'll be travelling to NSW primary schools, leading our After-school _Leaders and Speakers Program_. You'll facilitate discussions and brainstorm sessions in classes, encourage strong teamwork and communication amongst students, teach how to form and deliver amazing speeches and arguments and generally manage classroom behaviour. Ability to engage and work with children is paramount

Sypher Space creates fun, hands-on, STEAM (STEM & Arts) learning experiences for young minds. **Responsibilities**

After-school Leaders and Speakers Program
- Travel to various schools in the NSW region, currently in Kellyville and/or Wahroonga
- Engage with students, open discussions on what makes a good speech, brainstorm how to create a strong arguments and encourage students to be confident speakers
- Manage classroom behaviour
- Evaluate student performance each class through our reward system
- May be required to answer parent/guardian enquiries on their child's performance/behaviour
- Communicate with and report to managers
- Set strong examples and be a good role model, encouraging primary students to pursue their interests in STEAM

**Qualifications**

Required
- Minimum of a High School Certificate
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Experience in public speaking/debating
- Working with children check - paid employee (can acquire after hiring)
- At least a P1 drivers license and ability to work in Australia

Desired but not mandatory
- Completed or currently studying a degree within the STEAM field

**Renumeration**
- $30-$35 hourly pay (based on experience and/or performance)
