Our client is a large Energy retailer in Queensland. The Functional Lead Foundation Services is responsible for the management of the Foundation Services including but not limited to a broad mix of SAP Modules: Identity Management, Delegation of Authority, System Process Governance, Governance, Risk and Compliance, Health, Safety and Environment and Enterprise Content Management. The resource will lead the functional delivery of new capability and operational support on behalf of the business across these areas.

**Key Accountabilities / Duties**:

- Manage the Functional Foundation Services, enabling team’s success through the active delivery support and guidance and continuous optimisation of the Foundation Services’ delivery framework ensuring that the technology and solutions are appropriate and meet requirements.
- Provide leadership in process analysis, process and system design, business requirements validation, system development, configuration, testing, implementation and training to support the Functional Foundation Services for the organisation.
- Work with customers and vendors to gather an understanding of their business needs and assist our customers in the configuration and implementation of their processes to support Digital delivery.
- Lead the necessary analysis and consultation to ensure both business and digital benefits are identified and achieved.
- Lead, plan, execute and report on the delivery of work packages whilst managing competing priorities to achieve business value and service level targets.
- Contribute and make decisions on best delivery of the strategic, business and operational planning activities as required for the efficient management of the Functional Foundation Services.
- Contribute to the development of the Functional Foundation Services strategy, vision and roadmap, policies and practices.
- Coach and mentor a multi-disciplinary Functional Foundation Services Team to resolve major business incidents and establish appropriate resolution paths to achieve business outcomes.
- Actively work towards continual improvement, and support team with same, across all of the learnings and how those improvements can be applied.
- Promote and support teams’ agile ways of working and participate in department and group cross-functional initiatives.
- Act as first level escalation for senior business leaders on any pertinent matters relating to the Foundation Services such as Major Critical Incidents

**Knowledge, Skills, Ability**:

- Previous experience working in SAP environment including demonstrated domain knowledge of Identity Management, Delegation of Authority, Goverrnance, Risk and Compliance, Health, Safety and Environment and Enterprise Content Management.
- Proven ability to lead functional staff in planning, trouble-shooting, assessing risk and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to to maintain contemporary management practices including performance management, change management, quality management, employment equity and workplace health and safety, and the ability to foster a customer service focus.
- Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of deliverables, building exceptional working relationships and fostering teamwork within multi-disciplinary teams containing both internal and external resources to ensure that the Foundation Services’ strategic initiatives are met and operational targets are achieved.
- Proven ability to manage continuous improvement initiatives logically based on business priorities, cost of delay and the capacity available to launch and execute new initiatives within the Foundation Services.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to building effective contractual arrangements that support the effective working relationship between internal and external service providers in the life cycle management of customer facing services.
- High level of interpersonal communications and negotiation skills in a complex and highly technical business environment, including the ability to consult and influence the decision-making process.
