This department is based in a freshly refurbished building in the centre of Canberra and which work on the policy and legislation towards on the development and protection of the future of Australia. Due to an increase in workload, this organisation is looking for an APS6 Project Officer to join their team to keep the teams priorities moving forward.

**Your new role**
Are you interested in making sure a program is running effectively?

As the Project Officer you will be supporting the review of a high profile program. Working with a range of internal an external stakeholders you will support the department in ensuring that the program is being run and operated effectively. Day to Day life for you will look like:

- Providing a range of Project Management and Support Services
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for the project
- Collaborate across internal and external stakeholders
- Research to help source, collate and compile data and information to identify issues and support decision making

As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**
Your extensive experience at the APS6 level will help you succeed in this position. Your demonstrated experience in planning and organisation will help you work with the competing actives that will be required in this position. To succeed in this role, you will show:

- Strong written skills and the ability to prepare a range of documents for varying audiences
- Willingness to take initiative and drive work outcomes independently and as a part of a team
- Strong organisational skills combined with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage competing priorities

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
