**APS6 Project Officer.**
**Are you ready to make a real impact on environmentally sustainable procurement in the Australian Public Service? **We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with exceptional writing skills to join the Commonwealth Sustainable Procurement Advocacy and Resource Centre (C-SPARC) on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of a 3-month extension.
**Who are we? **Located in the Environment Protection Division of DCCEEW, C-SPARC is at the forefront of promoting environmentally responsible purchasing practices within the government. Our mission is to leverage the Commonwealth's buying power to procure goods and services that are kinder to the environment, including the adoption of recycled content.
**Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to gather valuable content and test its applicability to Australian Public Servants and suppliers.
- Crafting engaging case studies that showcase sustainable procurement in action and highlight the environmental, social, and economic benefits achieved from these practices.
- Preparing top-notch communication products, templates, and guidance documents that support the launch of the Sustainable Procurement Guide and the whole of government policy.
**What are we looking for?**
We seek a talented individual with a flair for writing relatable prose for a public audience and experience in developing workplans and communication products. You'll be driven, self-motivated, and adept at meeting deadlines. Key skills and capabilities we desire include:
- Exceptional written communication skills with an eye for detail.
- The ability to transform technical or complex information into accessible and engaging stories for the Australian Public Service, suppliers, and the public.
- Strong organizational skills, enabling you to handle multiple projects and meet set timeframes effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
