**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Remove trees and shrubs and conduct pruning and arboriculture operations in a safe and efficient manner with due regard for all relevant standards.
- Fell trees in all types of situations using climbing and mechanical systems.
- Access all parts of the tree using climbing and mechanical systems.
- Carry out all facets of pruning within current standards.
- Clear trees from powerlines according to the “Electrical Safety Regulations (Electrical Line Clearance) 2010” and “Recommended practices for the amenity tree industry 2001”
- Cut and stack or remove all branches and brushwood.

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Experience in using power equipment such as chainsaws, tree loppers, and woodchippers.
- High level of tree access skills via elevated platform and climbing, including aerial rescue and tree rigging
- Knowledge of arboriculture theory and practice
- Ability to operate various hand tools. Physically capable of performing tasks involving lifting, reaching, and bending.
- Sound knowledge of plant nomenclature and plant cultural requirements.
