Banyule City Council, Family & Community Services is seeking a qualified Certificate III Early Childhood Educator to provide a high-quality educational program that meets the needs of children aged from birth to 6 years at St Hellier Street Children’s Centre.

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will provide a high-quality, innovative educational program that meets the individual needs of children aged from birth to six years. This role will also ensure the care and education program aligns with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy. You’ll ensure a child-safe environment and contribute to a culture of child safety by fulfilling the responsibilities and requirements of Council’s Child Safe Policy and procedures.

**What you'll bring - Skills, experience and certificates**:

- Early Childhood Qualification as recognised under Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 - Certificate III.
- Knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law Act (2010), Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework.
- Current recognised Level 2 First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate, with CPR updates completed within the last 12 months.
- Awareness of the cultural needs of families.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.
- Ability to maintain written records and write reports relating to program goals and child development.
- Knowledge and understanding of mandatory Reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to Banyule City Council values.

**Mandatory Pre-employment checks**:

- Functional Capacity Assessment
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
- Working with Children's Check
- CPR/Level 2 First Aid
- Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
