An exciting opportunity exists for the Service Director - Oral Health, Community & Preventative Health to provide high level clinical and functional management of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) Oral Health service, to support state-wide delivery of oral health services, and the achievement of targets in oral health treatment and prevention.
The Service Director will lead the improvement of overall functional performance and patient outcomes, maintain appropriate standards of service, statistical reporting and strategic planning for Oral Health Services across SCHHS.
Oral Health services are provided to patient groups that meet the eligibility criteria for accessing public dental services in Queensland. Oral Health Services sit under the umbrella of the Community and Preventive Health (CPH). CPH is a diverse group of service units delivering care and interventions outside the acute hospital setting in most cases. Services are delivered in a variety of settings such as residential aged care facilities, community-based centres, satellite and outreach services, mobile vans, hospitals and in people's homes.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Lead the transformation and redesign of services within Oral Health in a sustainable and collaborative partnership with other clinical and non-clinical leaders of the SCHHS to achieve service specific performance, activity, safety, workforce and financial targets and outcomes.
- Provide high level clinical management and expert leadership for Oral Health teams within the Sunshine Coast Hospital & Health Service (SCHHS) to achieve best practice and consumer focused patient centred care.
- Lead service improvement and innovation through planning, resource management and setting strategic direction for the clinical services.
- Promote organisational efficiency and clinical productivity, demonstrate cost-effectiveness and embed a culture of value and return on investment by providing structure and guidance to ensure appropriate resource allocation is available to perform key functions including human resource management, budget, operational and performance reporting.
