Imagine using your experience to help people around the world to hear again. Due to an internal team movement, the opportunity has arisen to join the Asia Pacific (APAC) Acoustics Marketing team as the Product Manager for Baha Systems.
As a member of the Asia Pacific (APAC) Acoustics Marketing team, the Product Manager - Baha Systems role is critical in developing and executing the product strategy for the Baha portfolio of products in key markets across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.
**The Product Manager - Baha Systems** will partner with country teams in the APAC region to understand their business, market dynamics, opportunities and challenges, and then assist in the development of their marketing plans. This role needs to consider the diversity of the APAC markets, resources to execute and all with the objective of driving growth, awareness, market penetration and market share gains.
**Whilst no 2 days are the same, you will primarily be responsible for**
Working closely with the APAC cross functional team, country teams and global marketing teams, this role will provide important insights and input to represent and champion Baha in the Asia Pacific region. Key responsibilities include the development of Baha portfolio value propositions, product plans and launch strategies that align with the commercial strategy for each country.
**Portfolio Management**
- Develop marketing plans as well as market growth campaigns to drive a sustainable and profitable business and win/retain market share
- Work with the Country and Global Marketing teams to ensure the Baha brand and range of products maintain a clear and strong position in the Acoustics portfolio
- Collaborate with the Marketing Communications teams to develop product, category and campaign communications for internal and external audiences (healthcare professionals and consumers)
- Ensure the best ROI by looking for opportunities to leverage synergies between Cochlear’s brands, products, and services (even outside assigned brand/portfolio/category)
**Product Lifecycle Management**
- Manage the complete product lifecycle for the Baha portfolio including development of pre-launch regional strategy, product launch process, growth, sustaining and end of sale for each market in Asia Pacific
- Introduce new products to the APAC region including identification of target markets, segmentation, targeting, positioning, pricing, configurations, distribution, and promotion strategies through development of the Asia Pacific product launch plan
- Work closely with country teams to develop the country launch and execution plans and support/monitor their implementation
**Knowledge & Insights**
- Understand the medical device and hearing industry, the Asia Pacific region and specific markets through country insights, market research, analytics, and regular travel to key countries to meet internal stakeholders, healthcare professionals and consumers
**Communication & Collaboration**
- Collaborate with APAC team members and country marketing teams to share synergies across the Acoustics and cochlear implant portfolios and to ensure continuity of marketing activities
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs, medical affairs, professional education, sales, operations, finance and country management teams to bring new products to market
**About You.**
The ability to partner with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, build strong relationships, influence, develop market growth plans as well as manage multiple product launches at the same time is critical.
**Minimum**:
- Graduate qualifications in marketing, business, engineering, healthcare or science
- Product management experience in hearing devices, medical devices or healthcare, including leading new product launches, life cycle management, retirement etc.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple and simultaneous cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel internationally when possible (up to 20% of the time)
