Today, we have boutiques in Australia & New Zealand and an online business. **RETAIL SUPPORT CENTRE** The Retail Support Centre is based in St Kilda, with access to public transport and a short walk away from Acland Street. RSC employees are encouraged to collaborate and celebrate each other’s achievements. **KNOW THE ROLE** The Junior Designer will report to the Senior Design Manager and provide full support to the design team offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas. Blue Illusion launches new ranges every fortnight. This allows for exposure to the whole design team on the creation of ranges, but also means there are tight deadlines to adhere to. Strong communication is crucial for this role. The Junior Designer will work alongside other departments such as planning and production and also liaise with offshore suppliers, and factories regarding development of styles, new fabrication's and throughout product lifecycles. **Key responsibilities**: - Supporting the Design team in various roles such as admin, creation and delivery of artworks, illustrations, specs, data entry and general follow ups - Assisting designers in building new collections - Liaising with offshore suppliers - Managing approval submissions - Actioning changes to styling or design and update relevant touch points - Maintaining critical path tracker - Ad hoc duties as required by designers - Diploma or Degree in Fashion Design - 3 years industry experience in a womenswear design role - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Photoshop, Illustrator and computer skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Sound technical construction knowledge within apparel - Knowledge of local and overseas fashion retail markets - Ability to work under pressure, working to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment - Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment **Benefits** - Employee discounts - End of month drinks and regular get togethers - Celebrating work anniversaries - Employee Referral Program - Employee Assistance Program - Opportunities to support community partnerships across our social responsibility program - Be a member of a company committed to sustainable practices **Blue Illusion mission statement**: At Blue Illusion we create a - trés chic lifestyle_ that celebrates the spirit of our customer, their passion for life and generosity of heart.
