Learning & Development Manager

**About the role**:
This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned L&D specialist to join ACC’s People & Culture team and further develop our learning, development and training strategy and initiatives. Leading a small team and working collaboratively with business leads, you’ll enjoy loads of variety with exposure to all functions at both a strategic and operational level.
Reporting to the General Manager, People & Culture you’ll be primarily responsible for building skills and capability throughout the organization whilst driving ongoing improvement by taking ownership for embedding our leadership, training and talent development programs. Secondly, as a key lead in the People & Culture team, this role has scope to be closely involved in our HR generalist activity.
Day to day, your role will involve:
- Providing leadership and mentorship to a small team of trainers
- Consulting with the business to determine training and development needs
- Working with GM P&C and senior leaders to set long term strategic goals and direction
- Coordinating and managing the delivery of external training partners and programs
- Ensuring regulatory compliance requirements are met and reported on
- Manage the coordination and facilitation of company induction programs and content
- Becoming a superuser and administrator LMS and training systems / databases
- Managing programs and RTOs relating to certificate and apprenticeship programs
- Ensuring accurate and up to date data and information is recorded
- Support the People & Culture team, including special projects and company events
- Creating insightful reports and on training compliance and demonstration of ROI
**About you**:
Being curious and self motivated, you’ll enjoy liaising and engaging with a variety of stakeholders. You are very comfortable being hands on and in the detail, whilst able to think and plan strategically. Along with previous exposure within a supply chain/manufacturing environment, you’ll also bring:
- 5 years demonstrated experience in a mid to senior L&D role involving a number of business functions
- An extensive tool kit of L&D practices and methodologies that encompass technical skills training, compliance and regulatory training along with soft skills and leadership development practices
- Excellent technical and systems skills, with experience administering LMS and the ability to pick up new systems quickly
- Highly developed written communications and creative ability
- Experience creating or developing tailored training material and content
- Intermediate to advance ability using Microsoft office suite
- A strong commitment to ensuring accurate data and quality information
- Excellent coaching and influencing skills
- A flexible approach
- Experience working in a HR generalist capacity is highly regarded
