We are excited to be recruiting for a role within our Finance Team Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role takes full ownership and responsibility of all aspects of the accounts payable & procurement, and travel and expense management for the Australia & New Zealand legal entities. This role will ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and followed, that accounting complies with appropriate GAAP and taxation laws, and drive continuous process improvements and innovation.
The AP&P Partner will:
- Ensure timely processing of invoices in the procurement system, arranging payment runs and maintaining accuracy and compliance of financial data into SAP
- Partner with external stakeholders to proactively manage and resolve vendor queries
- Partner with regional procurement to ensure that best practices are being adopted for the local organisation
- Strive for continuous process improvements and innovation to provide the most efficient and streamlined procurement process for the business
- Partner with the local organisation to ensure the appropriate level of training is provided, and that systems and processes are fit for purpose
- Proactively support the local business, resolving their queries and being the local Accounts Payable & Procurement Champion
- Review and process employees travel and expense claims, and manage and administer the Employee Corporate Card, Central Travel and Purchasing Card Programs
- Maintain and be the local super user for the Master Data system, and provide support and training to the business, as required
- Ensure accuracy in the month-end closing journals and reporting process
- Be responsible for the month end Auto PO accruals system, ensuring accuracy in the data, and that support is provided to the business
**Required**:
- A minimum of 4 years professional financial accounting experience
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
**Desirable**:
- Multi-national company experience
- Pharmaceutical sector experience
- Appreciation of US GAAP and IFRS
**Other critical technical, professional and personal capabilities**:
- A detailed understanding of accounting software and Microsoft Office programs (particularly Excel)
- Technically strong, comprehensive understanding of book-keeping and local financial reporting requirements
- Experience performing full function accounts payable duties
- Ability to identify and drive innovative projects
- Demonstrated ability to analyse problems and proactively develop solutions
- Able to prioritise and successfully manage stakeholders' expectations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills to work with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a small team environment
