We have an exciting & dynamic program of events to deliver at Fed Square & we are growing our Casual Team of Event Operations Supervisors This is a great opportunity to deliver all aspects of on-ground event operations at Fed Square & to join a genuinely supportive & collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Supervise the delivery of events & facilitate the bump in, event & bump out of phases
- Onsite venue management
- Liaison with site contractors & relevant tenants
- Ensure event briefs are followed & troubleshoot like a boss
- Welcome clients to Fed Square & act as the main point of contact onsite for all stakeholders
- Represent Fed Square & be a primary point of engagement with the general public & event attendees
- Confident 'go-between' for special guests onsite & assist in implementing protocol delivery with senior management
- Management of events inventory (cloths, furniture, signage, hazard prevention equipment, electrical infrastructure etc)
- Support security, cleaning & facilities services as required on weekend & after hours
- Proactively maintain knowledge around Fed Square's policies & procedures, with particular emphasis on risk management & occupational health & safety
- Integral role in implementing Fed Square's public facing COVID plan
- Liaison with special authorities as required
- Work independently with confidence, any time of day or night, in all weather conditions, often making important decisions out of hours
**Requirements**:
- This is a casual, rostered role with requirements to work outside normal business hours & on weekends - Most shifts will be worked between 7pm-12am & 12am-8am
- Perform first-aid & be a key player in emergency management procedures
- Manoeuvre plant equipment, manual labour & some heavy lifting involved
- Impeccable customer service mindset required
- You will likely be managing multiple events at one time
- Uniform will be provided & must be worn on all shifts
Your Skills & Experience
- Logistics & co-ordination skills in a complex (multi event) environment
- High level of customer service
- Solutions-focused approach
- Ability to operate autonomously & as part of an integrated team
Education & Qualifications
- Appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent industry-related experience
- Forklift license, Traffic Control Certification, First Aid Level 1&2 & Worksafe - Construction induction card (desirable)
- Current Working With Children Check
