**About the Early Childhood Division**:
Early Childhood is responsible for the strategic management and implementation of early learning and development reforms, coordination of early childhood education and care programs, approval and regulation of services, supporting assessment and ratings and the quality improvement for all early childhood development and education improvement in Queensland.
The Early Childhood Division leads the regulation of early childhood education and care services, supports the implementation of the National Quality Framework and leads implementation and performance activities through engagement with key stakeholders, monitoring services and supporting the role of regional regulatory officers.
**About the Role**:
As the Executive Director, Early Childhood Strategy and Performance you will lead the strategic vision and direction for the development and implementation of early childhood education and care programs and services.
You will lead alongside an ever-changing landscape, factoring in community expectations, identifying and refining potential opportunities for enhancement.
Further, as an expert in strategy and performance, you will guide the Deputy Director-General, the Director-General and the Minister for Education to support future sustainability outcomes for early childhood education and care.
This role is a multi-faceted and multi-dimensional role overseeing the strategic vision, direction and performance of approximately 3,000 early childhood services across Queensland.
You will be forward thinking, contemporary, strategic, inspirational and resilient. We're looking for an executive who is committed to high quality, customer centricity and visionary.
More specifically you will demonstrate the executive leadership competencies for executives in the Queensland Public Sector Leadership competencies for Queensland (forgov.qld.gov.au)
You will be located at AM60 Albert Street, Brisbane City.
This role requires some travel across the state to deliver on the strategy and performance of early childhood services.
