**Accountabilities include**: - Coordinating day-to-day business of the Corporate Counsel, including meeting organisation and calendar / diary management. Managing unit correspondence, coordinating all incoming correspondence requests, monitoring due dates and ensuring adherence to Departmental style guides before arranging appropriate approval. Managing critical responses on behalf of the Corporate Counsel, and Legal Officers as necessary, including liaison and negotiation with stakeholders to ensure urgent issues are identified, analysed, and referred to the appropriate officers for action or response within designated timeframes. Assisting with organisation of travel arrangements and itinerary for the Corporate Counsel, and other Legal Officer staff as required. Assisting with financial activities on behalf of the Corporate Counsel and other Legal Officer staff, including travel expenses, allowance claims, taxi vouchers, purchase orders, RTAC's and procurement of goods and services required. Managing filing systems for the Office of Corporate Counsel and Legal team by: o Regular review and maintenance of filing systems to ensure compliance with Recordkeeping Standards (DMS / Content Manager), legislation and other Departmental policies, o Management of cabinet-in-confidence documents, o Creating reports as necessary, to aid strategic running and management of the unit. Assisting Senior and Principal Legal Officers with coordination of meetings, seminars, and workshops
- Working as part of the Legal Business Support Team and undertaking administrative tasks as required, including processing accounts payable and accepting service of legal documents. Continually reviewing duties and operations to ensure optimal efficiency of the role and the team.
This position reports to the Principal Business Advisor.
