**Property Portfolio Manager - **12 Month Fixed Term Contract
**The opportunity**

Reporting to the Head of Workplace Experience you would be responsible for the strategic management and delivery of leasing transactions in relations to the AMP Workplace lease portfolio.

In this role you are going to be overseeing and managing existing portfolio that involves monitoring of critical dates and obligations as well as ensuring that lease obligations are adhered to and payments are made on time. Utilising our external legal partnerships in place, you will be advising the Workplace team and the broader business on existing lease obligations and legal matters.

Your focus would be on achieving the best possible commercial and legal outcome for AMP in all elements of a transaction, having particular regard to costs, liability and flexibility.

**How you will make an impact**
- Sublease management including holding securities (bank guarantees), ensuring current evidence of insurances are held, enforcement of breaches of lease and arrears recovery
- Prepare and negotiate all end-to-end leasing documentation to give effect to leasing transactions, including heads of agreement, leases, side deeds, lease notices and assignment requests
- Carry out risk management strategies and ensure that leasing documentation contains drafting in accordance with AMP’s policies (in particular guarantee and indemnities)
- Support the Head of Workplace Experience to develop and deliver short term and long-term strategies to ensure that AMP’s Workplaces meet the needs of the business
- Financial analysis of leasing proposals as part of business case and strategy preparation.

**What you will bring to the role**
- Tertiary qualification in property, law or business
- Corporate real estate or legal professional with proven transactional and commercial lease negotiating skills (minimum 6 - 8 years)
- Ability to accurately read, analyse and negotiate legal documents including leases and broker agreements with assistance of external counsel as required.
