Public Sector People is proudly partnering with Banyule City Council to appoint their Talent Acquisition Team Lead.

The position is responsible for coaching and mentoring leaders within the organisation to ensure they are equipped with the right tools/skills to make sound recruitment decisions.

You will be an integral part of a growing team within People & Culture to provide sound advice to assist hiring managers with sourcing talent using various online methods to ensure best practice approaches to recruitment, onboarding and inclusive employment.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Lead a small team of HR practitioners in all aspects of the employee lifecycle
- Establish and grow partnerships with local schools and universities
- Establish a strong traineeship and internship program
- Actively promote equal opportunity and diversity in all areas of recruitment
- Enhance talent management practices to ensure equal accountability across the organisation
- Streamline recruitment processes and practices
- Build on inclusive employment efforts and grow the initiatives
- Develop an internal careers program, including transition programs, mentorship programs, job rotation & secondments
- To be considered for the role, you will require:_
- Extensive experience gained in a recruitment role
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
- Ability to determine customer and stakeholder needs
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills
- A sound track record of delivering positive organisational recruitment outcomes
- An ability to partner & support management and staff in relation to recruitment policies and practices
- Experienced in the use of recruitment tools (applicant tracking systems), websites and preplacement check systems

With demonstrated experience leading a team the successful applicant will work in partnership across the organisation providing a range of services that will add value to the employee experience.
