
Procurement Operations Manager

Optiver is looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to help enable and advance the business' strategy. The Procurement and Cost Management function drives strategic initiatives to ensure Optiver is buying goods and services in the most efficient way at the most competitive prices. If you are interested in gaining experience in both the business and technical sides of a market making trading firm while furthering your procurement experience, this role will offer that opportunity.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**
As a member of the Procurement and Cost Management team, you will drive a variety of projects, from conception to completion. You will be laser focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement to drive new business initiatives forward consistently with efficiency and diligence while collaborating with all areas of the business. Other responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day procurement operations - working with technical teams, Legal, Tax, A/P, and vendors to buy routine hardware, software, and services in a standardised fashion.
- Track renewals of recurring spend to facilitate timely contract review and execution.
- Proactively communicate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on expected timelines and progress of purchase requests.
- Create and run sourcing events (RFx) to solicit best pricing and terms from vendors. This will include working with internal stakeholders throughout the sourcing process by coordinating internal and external participation and communication.
- Ensure price competitiveness of quotes by soliciting bids from other vendors and reviewing against past purchases of similar goods and services.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews to find areas to improve service and transparency with highest spend vendors. Work with vendors to remediate any issues in the supply chain that may impact goods and service fulfillment.
- Design and carry out continuous updates to the Procurement process. Identify inefficiencies and improve the internal purchasing experience.
**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**
- An in-depth procurement, commercial and negotiation experience working with vendors
- Experience working in a technical environment and working with technology vendors
- An understanding of legal limitations within a trading or financial domain
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Strong relationship management skills and proven ability to influence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
