**About the Role**
As the Correspondence and Administration Officer, you will provide administrative and secretarial support function for the Lord Mayor. This includes providing the Lord Mayor and Office of the Lord Mayor with secretarial, correspondence, administrative and support services to enable effective key stakeholder and office management.
This position is a key public-facing role representing the Office of the Lord Mayor and the first point of contact for constituent and customer interactions with the Lord Mayor.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide secretariat support including reviewing and prioritising correspondence, preparing draft responses and correspondent on behalf of the Lord Mayor.
- Escalating customer enquiries to internal stakeholders for further advice and following up to ensure time responses are provided to customers
- Assisting the team with general / ad-hoc administrative support where required.
- Exercising discretion, sensitivity and confidentiality in a highly political environment.
- Presenting professionally presented documents
- Provide friendly and professional customer service to constituents and stakeholders, exercising discretion and maintaining confidentiality during all interactions.
**About You**:
- A Certificate IV in Business (Administration), or equivalent experience.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in administrative and executive support roles.
- Demonstrated experience working within a government environment or demonstrated experience working with Executive Teams and Board Members.
- A strong understanding of local government functions and political processes.
- Exceptional communication skills, including experience in preparing speeches, briefings, and strategic reports.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and drive successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

**What’s on offer**
We are offering an attractive remuneration from $101,563 to 107,310 plus 11.5% superannuation.
