Opportunity for an AO5 Executive Support Officer within the State Government

**Your new company**

It is a newly established state government department that is responsible for driving the energy and emissions transformation in Queensland. They are currently developing a strategic plan to underpin this work.

**Your new role**

Will be working within the Hydrogen unit whose area has a number of projects in development, meaning there is an increasing requirement for executive support. Reporting to the Deputy Director-General for Hydrogen, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Proactively manage and coordinate all meetings and diary appointments for the DDG, ensuring a flexible approach is exercised when priorities arise
- Ensure the DDG is comprehensively briefed, prepared and supported for meetings or diary appointments by collating meeting papers and briefs
- Undertake research and collate detailed information to prepare the DDG for high level meetings and forums
- Keep abreast of current issues which may impact on Corporate Services and report findings to the DDG
- Actively review and manage work priorities and deadlines on a daily basis
- Coordinate briefings, correspondence and submissions to the DDG to ensure a high level of quality, accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate and manage administrative support activities for the DDG as required
- Travel and itinerary arrangements
- Develop, implement and maintain both electronic and physical records management systems

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in an executive support role
- Diary management, meeting preparation, document compilation and record management experience
- Highly developed written skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at various levels
- Can work under pressure against competing priorities
- High level organisational skills to ensure deadlines are met
- Experience using Mincor would be highly desirable, but not essential.
