As the Proposal and Marketing Manager, you will be joining Bechtel Mining and Metals and delivering multi-billion dollar bid proposals for Australia, Asia Pacific, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. You will have the exciting opportunity to own your role, and the freedom to create and shape proposals while working across regions.

This critical role directly reports to the Head of Strategy, Marketing and Business Development for global Mining and Metals, and is based in our Fortitude Valley office in Brisbane.

**Who Are You?**
- A competent professional, you are driven and competitive by nature, keen to make your mark by demonstrating your capability to help win work and grow the company.
- With previous experience on major corporate tenders, you have a strong understanding of the proposal process and the ability to interpret bid requirements and proposal response strategy, and approaches on individual opportunities.
- Confident in your persuasive communication abilities, you are skilled in the art of creating winning and compelling content, bid proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Ideally, but not essentially, you will have working knowledge of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction industry and / or the competitive nature of Tier 1 Mining and Metals.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Demonstrate understanding of the Mining and Metals industry and bidding process for key mining customers
- Collaborate with senior management to develop proposal strategies, including the identification of discriminators and win plan, relevant past performance, customer issues, and competitor strengths / weaknesses during pre-solicitation release phases and throughout the proposal process.
- Assemble all required proposal resources, organizing with the Manager Strategy, Marketing and Business Development and General Manager for production / writing / editing support and with other managers for technical support.
- Translate requirements to the compliance matrix, annotated proposal outline, and content plans
- Prepare proposal budgets and schedules, proactively track and report progress to these baselines, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Leadership and management of a small and dedicated team
