The Policy, Performance, International & Intergovernmental Division leads strategic policy development for a broad range of education sectors in Queensland, along with performance monitoring and reporting, risk management and planning activities for accountability and planning to sustain a high-quality education environment for Queensland's children and young people.\
Appointments in the public sector are merit-based and will be assessed by looking at what you have done previously, the knowledge, skills and experience you have built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities.
**About your responsibilities**:
- Monitor and report on corporate compliance and budget performance of the Branch and NSSAB and contribute to the development of business plans and budget submissions, ensuring consistency and integration with government and department standards and processes.
- Provide leadership and direction to the corporate services team, develop and implement administrative policies and practices which represent best practice and maximise cost effectiveness in support of the Branch service delivery and NSSAB.
- Organise and lead training, forums and information sessions for staff within the Branch on corporate governance issues, regulatory compliance and statutory interpretation.
- Undertake analysis and research and prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes and corporate correspondence on a range of corporate governance issues, statutory decision making, financial and non-financial performance and evaluation of regulatory performance and service delivery within the Branch and for NSSAB.
- Contribute to the Branch's corporate planning and reporting requirements
- Possess a high-level working knowledge or demonstrated ability to acquire a high level working knowledge of the legislation relevant to the Branch activities including legislation applicable to home education and regulation of the non-state sector and financial obligations of the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board.
- Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the Executive Director.
