Product Owner

**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

The Product Owner (PO) contributes to great product outcomes by ensuring that the requirements of the business and the needs of the end-users are clearly articulated to the Agile Development team. This is so that the developed solutions meet all stakeholders’ needs and are in line with the strategic goals of the organisation.

You will work in a collaborative and fast paced agile environment, using in-depth operational experience and technical proficiency to detect issues, identify opportunities and contribute to the design of solutions.

The role balances business priorities with frontline and customer centricity, possessing strong leadership skills to motivate and leverage both people and technological resources to deliver the right business outcomes.

**Position Accountabilities**
- Achieve specific business value and product outcomes through the design and delivery of customer and business-focused solutions to incrementally improve our insurance claims processes within a complex regulatory environment.
- Together with the wider Home Claims Leadership Team, provide strategic direction and clarity of our initiative purpose and benefits to our business stakeholders and End-to-End (E2E) delivery team
- Prioritise and execute key parts of a delivery stream focused on improving our current claims software while being aware of other strategic delivery streams.
- Take responsibility of the planning and organisation of delivery roadmaps, quarterly plans and sprint backlogs
- Work alongside the E2E delivery team and our business stakeholders to produce requirements, stories, and tasks ensuring it meets relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate execution excellence in Agile methodology and actively participate and facilitate agile duties and ceremonies within the E2E delivery team
- Contribute to the design of innovative solutions to reimagine the current state processes in order to deliver better business, employee, supplier and customer experience, contributing to creating a competitive market advantage
- Understand the end-to-end insurance journey and ensure consistency and uplift of customer experience
- Review and approve features alongside the Testing team and the broader business before releasing to our customers
- Ensure customer, business or compliance affecting bugs are addressed and escalated as appropriate
- Lead SMEs and Business Analysts to create and document clear requirements, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria and tasks for the E2E Delivery TeamActively participate, contribute, and execute against a Community of Practice to ensure alignment across the Product Owner role in the delivery process.

**What experience you’ll bring**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner or similar role with a track record of successfully delivering digital products and services
- Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile development environments
- Creative problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to product development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas to diverse and senior stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform product decisions and drive results.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements
