The Senior Communications and Engagement Adviser is responsible for supporting the day-to-day implementation of our relationships with communities and stakeholders across all Homes Victoria projects and programs.
The purpose of the role is to deliver engagement and communications activities to ensure our communities and stakeholders receive timely, accurate and appropriate advice about projects, and can be appropriately informed and consulted, make representations, provide feedback and ask questions in a way that delivers on our commitment to genuine inclusion of stakeholders in each project. The Communications and Engagement Adviser reports to the Manager, Communications and Engagement and is responsible for supporting on-the-ground communications and engagement activities.
This role is part of Homes Victoria, delivering the Victorian Government's landmark social and affordable housing investment. This investment is the largest single investment in social housing in Victoria's history, and will provide more homes, more choice, more security and opportunity for more Victorians at a time when our population continues to grow. Together, we will also play an important role to help Victoria's recovery from the COVID crisis through the creation of jobs and economic activity.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Contribute to implementing project and community communication and engagement strategies, and provide support and communication to key stakeholders and communities for the Communications and Engagement Branch and broader Homes Victoria
- Proactively identify and respond promptly to community issues relating to key projects and develop mitigation strategies in consultation with senior managers as required
- Contribute to the maintenance of the enquiries inbox and assist in the provision of timely and accurate responses, and the maintenance of the Branch forward planner
